Terms of Service

Chrontic Web Application

Last Updated: July 26, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or otherwise using Chrontic (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're signing up on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company, and "you" refers to both you and the company. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

Chrontic is a time tracking application that lets companies manage employee time entries, projects, leave requests, and related reporting. Some features (project assignment, detailed tracking, Jira integration, advanced reports) depend on your subscription plan.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • The person who registers a company account becomes its admin and is responsible for inviting/managing employees and for the accuracy of employee data entered into the Service.
  • You must be legally able to enter into this agreement, and use of the Service by anyone under 16 is not permitted.

4. Right of Withdrawal

Chrontic is a business-to-business (B2B) service. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for consumer contracts under §312g BGB does not apply where you purchase or use the Service in the course of your trade, business, or profession.

5. Subscription Plans & Payment

  • Chrontic offers a Free plan and paid Basic/Pro plans with a 30-day free trial; no credit card is required to start a trial.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis and processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
  • You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from account settings. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which the account is downgraded to the Free plan.
  • Fees are quoted and charged in the currency shown at checkout. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
  • We'll give at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect for an existing subscription. Continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to another company's data or account; interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure; reverse-engineer the Service beyond what's permitted by law; or use the Service to store or transmit data you don't have the right to process.

7. Data Protection & Privacy

Chrontic processes personal data (employee names, emails, time/attendance records) on behalf of your company. In most cases your employer is the data controller and Chrontic acts as the data processor. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect, how it's used, and your rights. Our Data Processing Agreement is incorporated into these Terms and applies automatically to that processing; see also our Subprocessors list.

8. Third-Party Integrations

If you or your admin connect optional integrations (Jira, Outlook, Tempo, or Google sign-in), that connection is also governed by the relevant third party's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services.

9. Intellectual Property

Chrontic and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Chrontic UG (haftungsbeschränkt) and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Data you or your employees enter into the Service remains yours; we only use it to provide and improve the Service.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time from account settings. A company admin closing their account will end access for the entire organization. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or fail to pay applicable fees, with notice where reasonably possible.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chrontic UG is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g. for intent or gross negligence). In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for damages arising from injury to life, body, or health, or for intentional or grossly negligent conduct, as required by §309 No. 7 BGB.

12. Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged to, and do not, participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above, and where appropriate we'll notify account admins directly. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin, Germany, except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
